Consortia Magazine

The concept and development of Consortia magazine started over seven years ago, growing from our parent company College Benefits Group’s thirty-five-year involvement with the Association for Consortium Leadership. College Benefits Group also started developing and managing consortial employee benefits models in 1975, and has a long history in the consortia arena.

There are over ten thousand cooperative higher education and healthcare ventures in the world today and growing. To meet this increasing cooperative dynamic we saw the need for a professional journal that would chronicle the progress of collaborative higher education and healthcare models, and the social, economic, and political forces that drive collaborative change.

The print version of Consortia magazine has entered its third year of publication and has expanded from a higher education-focused publishing venture to include consortial healthcare, research, and technology models. The Consortia publishing venture consists of a quarterly print publication, website, resource guide, and a weekly eNewsletter.

As we expand the publishing venture to include healthcare, research, and technology we are going to introduce a social networking site, employment bank, and a more comprehensive on-line search engine for our Resource Guide.

We truly believe that as the world becomes more and more complex many of the challenges that face us today and in the future could be resolved more effectively by working together.
